The Apple Watch Series 7 will be available in limited quantities at launch

An improved model, a delayed release

As Bloomberg reported at the end of August, the Apple Watch Series 7 is facing production problems leading to delays in the delivery of the first models. The main reason is that for this latest version, the Californian firm intends to offer a new design similar to the recent iPhone, as well as a larger screen. It is the latter whose manufacture would pose a problem. Note that the new 1.9-inch slab would represent an increase of 8% compared to the current model, as well as a total display surface greater than 20 or 30%, according to the American journalist.

As a result, if Apple unveils its new watch at the next keynote in September, it may not be available immediately to Apple customers. And if it turns out that the company announces an availability date for the following week, it should only concern a small quantity. This is obviously not the first time that Tim Cook's firm has done this. The iPhone 12 Pro Max took a while to arrive last year, as was also the case with the iPhone X, which was launched on the market almost a month after its official announcement. Once the new slab of the Apple Watch Series 7 meets Apple's standards, everything should be back to normal.
